Coding QA Copilot
Reads every coded chart after your coder does and flags the ones worth a second look, with the chart text behind each flag.
Every coded chart reviewed after the coder, the riskiest first
Each flag says why in plain words, with the chart text behind it
The copilot flags; the auditor agrees or overrides, under their own name
A page that couldn't be read goes to a person, never to Pass
The whole demo as a video, with captions and chapters
Demo built on synthetic data.
1 of 5: The QA queue
The problem
If QA reviews a sample, the rest of the day's charts go to the client unreviewed. Your client's accuracy target applies to all of them, and so does the business associate agreement.
What it does
It reads each chart and pulls out the facts that drive coding — diagnoses, procedures, laterality, the elements behind the visit level.
It compares those facts with the codes your coder assigned.
It flags likely errors with a reason and the exact chart text, and sorts the queue so auditors see the riskiest charts first.
It records every auditor decision, agree or override, and uses those decisions to test the next version.
Try to break it
On the call we'll trigger these, live:
- A scanned page arrives sideways and faint. The chart goes to an auditor; nothing that couldn't be read is passed.
- The model server stops. Charts wait in the queue and none are marked reviewed.
- A coder disagrees with a flag. The override is recorded with their reason.
Where it runs
A GPU workstation or a partner-supplied server inside your network. Patient data doesn't leave it.
Who else does something like this
Medicodio sells AI coding to RCM companies, including a co-pilot mode that assists human coders.
Stafflo's copilot is a reviewer for your coders, not a coding service, and it runs inside your environment so your clients' data stays with you.
The rules it respects
Built for HIPAA through your business associate agreements. The demo uses synthetic charts only, and synthetic procedure codes because the AMA licenses CPT.
What our tests measured
How we testThese figures come from test runs on Google's Gemini (gemini-3.5-flash-lite), a hosted model, on synthetic data. We'll add runs on a local model.
- Run on 13 October 2026
- Model: gemini:gemini-3.5-flash-lite
- 300 examples
For your engineers
- Engines
- Extractor, Gatekeeper, Proof Console
- Sealed mode
- Test passed: with sealed mode on, it refuses every outbound connection except to the model you've approved.
